Pretshila Hill is a significant site located about 8 km northwest of Gaya city in Bihar. It is a sacred place for Hindus, known for the tradition of performing Pind Daan, a religious ritual for the peace of departed souls. This practice is believed to help the souls attain salvation. Atop the hill, there is a temple dedicated to Lord Yama, the god of death in Hindu mythology. The temple was initially constructed by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore and has undergone several renovations.
