Peripheral blood vs bone marrow stem cells for alloHSCT & optimal CD34+ graft cell dose

Dr Ushtaq explains that it is possible to control the amount of CD34+ cells collected from the peripheral blood but not from the bone marrow. In a recent meta-analysis, it was shown that the ideal CD34+ graft cell dose is between 4-6×10⁶/kg, but it is necessary to perform a registry study to better define this value.
