iOS 18 introduces a plethora of new features designed to enhance the user experience on your iPad. Among these is the ability to enable dark mode app icons, providing a consistent and aesthetically pleasing look that complements the system-wide dark mode. This tutorial will walk you through the steps to enable dark mode app icons on your iPad.

How To Enable Dark Mode App Icons On iOS 18 iPad

1: Begin by unlocking your iPad and accessing the home screen. Then, tap and hold on to any empty space on your home screen until the app icons start to jiggle. You are now in jiggle mode, allowing you to rearrange and customize your app icons.

2: From the top right corner of the screen, tap on "Edit" and then select "Customize" from the menu that appears. Here is where you can customize the app icons.

Following this, a pop-up menu will appear at the bottom of the screen with the following options; Automatic, Dark, Light, & Tinted. To enable dark mode app icons, simply tap on "Dark" and you'll notice the app icons change the color. Once done, tap "Done" in the top-right corner to exit jiggle mode.
