Thamarassery Thareeqath

Описание: A new Thareeqath has started in Thamarassery and Alunthara Abdulla Moulavy is their leader. They wanted to stop Salath chanting and replace it with action, like charity and social work.

They are foolish enough to cut down the importance of juma masjids and madrasas and focus on doing "good things" like distributing food to the poor and helping the sick. By doing these things, they believe, they get more score points in heaven than by simply chanting Salath.

But these reformers do not understand that Islam in Kerala is maintained and managed by intelligent priest leaders like Kanthapuram and Jiffri Thangal who want to maintain their control by keeping the salaths and rituals in tact. The great success of Malappuram Salath Nagar where one lakh people attend the ifthar party last year and many more attended the Salath congregation.

These new reformers are not different from earlier reformers like KNM and JIH. What KNM wanted was to end of dominations of religious leaders and to translate Quran into Malayalam and make it accessible to everyone. They even had the courage to start delivering Friday Qutubas in Malayalam.

KNM leaders are foolish to make Quran accessible to everyone. Ismaili Muslims Dawoodi Bohras became rich and powerful all over the world by insisting that Quran has an inner meaning which only the imam will understand. So their imam is a world leader and has direct influence Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister Trudeau.

Those who joined KNM later started questioning Islam and became atheists and ex-Muslims. JIH people were also reformers but they moved cautiously and concentrated on educational field and charity. So their power increased gradually and now they control 1% of Kerala Muslim Population. Heavy flow of donation from JIH supporters outside India has made for them possible to start Madhyamam newspaper and MediaOne TV Channel which got 10% support from Kerala Muslim fraternity even though they refused to join JIH.

They also started a political party which was a 100% failure and became successful only in getting negative publicity during election times. JIH people are mostly teachers and government servants and do not have real tough leaders with experience like Kunhalikutty Sahib. So their political ambitions have no future even though their plans are discussed by everyone widely especially by their enemies.
