*Description*
The first thing was setting the pace. I knew from riding those seikrets that it would be quick and relatively light, agile. Brassy with free use of synth like the original. I really leaned into the middle-eastern, Egyptian deity idea. Had Rey Dau existed for thousands of years in our time, surely it would have been seen as an envoy of Set, or maybe a god itself. There's a tribal, primal sound to the track, including human voices (and some yelling), lots of hand drums and heavy percussion to both emulate the thunder and the flashing lightning (cymbals). Much more conceptual than some other compositions, but there you have it!
