Wildland Firefighter School with Six Rivers National Forest and Cal Poly Humboldt

Описание: For a week in March of 2025 the Six Rivers National Forest and Cal Poly Humboldt partnered up to bring qualifying training to students and community members interested in becoming potential recruits to the ranks public lands management wildfire staff.

The course taught about prescribed burning for habitat and conservation management while having students to obtain national certification. The week-long course helped registrants obtain official training that allows them qualify for roles across all federal agencies (such as the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs or U.S. Fish and Wildlife) and many state and private agencies. It was a phenomenal opportunity for course leaders and participants, with extensive knowledge sharing and guidance to the next generations of firefighters and public lands managers.
