Описание: This is a 1954 promotional film made by "Curly Boyd and Ruth" along with their Robot Drummer, Roberta. Roberta was a robot drummer controlled by pinball machine solenoids that played various drum patterns while Curly and Ruth played along. Roberta is, to my knowledge, the world's first working drum machine (although there were experminents in the 1930s for a "rhythm machine," none were put into use like Roberta the Robot Drummer was). Curly played guitar and harp and a few years after this film was made, he designed several Jetsons-like futuristic electric guitars and basses, and invented a guitar vibrato called the "Boyd-Vibe."
