Where did the Yuantong Vajra Trail come from?

This is the original Yuantong Temple mountain trail in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City. With Yuantong Temple as its main attraction, Buddhist education of various sects is prevalent, and the area has a large number of Buddhist believers. Several local monks hiked this trail year-round, diligently reciting the Diamond Sutra to focus their minds and practice. Over time, the trail became known as the #YuantongVajraTrail.

The Buddhist holy land is rich in ecology, and you can often see great crowned pigeons flying freely in the sky...

The Zhonghe area boasts diverse ethnic cultures and folk beliefs. Many renowned temples, both large and small, such as Yuantong Zen Temple and Hongludi Nanshan Fude Temple, are located along the Smile Mountain Trail, making it a distinctive feature of this section and a perfect choice for promotional purposes within the Zhonghe section.

The "Smiling Mountain Route" serves as the main route, and a network of smaller, branching routes is formed through connected mountain trails. For example, the section from Yuantong Temple in Zhonghe (Niupu Mountain Range) to Hongludi (Nanshijiao Mountain Range) offers excellent views of the Greater Taipei Basin. The trailhead at Yuantong Temple is located near the conveniently located downtown area of Zhonghe. The trail is approximately 1.8 kilometers long and ends at the renowned Yuantong Temple in Zhonghe.

圓通金剛步道的由來？
亦是原來的新北市中和區圓通寺越嶺步道，當地以圓通寺為主體，各宗佛化教育度眾盛行，當地佛教信徒眾多，因由當地幾位師兄常年在此步道健行，並恆持精進背誦金剛經攝心用功，久而久之故稱#圓通金剛步道。

中和地區具有多元的族群文化與民間信仰，許多知名大小的廟宇如圓通禪寺、烘爐地南山福德宮等均位於微笑山線上，成為本路段最鮮明的特質，相當適合作為中和段的推廣路線。

以 「 微笑山線 」 為主幹道 藉由山林步道串聯形成多個小迴圈支線旅遊系統，例如中和圓通寺路段 (牛埔山系) 至烘爐地路段 (南勢角山系) 視野極佳可眺望大台北盆地 ，圓通寺的登山口臨近交通便利的中和市區，步道全長約 1.8 公里，終點是中和著名的圓通寺。
