Tensions flared up at the Uttarakhand-Himachal border (Kulhal border) near Dehradun after a large group of Nihang Sikhs clashed with the police and breached barricades. The standoff stems from a June 16 incident in Karnaprayag, Chamoli, where a parking dispute led to a violent clash between Nihang pilgrims and locals. Following the arrest of four Nihang members, Sikh groups marched toward Uttarakhand demanding their immediate release. Heavy security, including ITBP and drone surveillance, was deployed to maintain law and order.
