J.A.C.K. (Jeunes Animaux Confisque au Katanga/Young Animals Confiscated in Katanga) is an independent, self funded NGO in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo. J.A.C.K acts as a Refuge Center for orphan chimpanzees confiscated by the Ministry of Environment.
The Forgotten Parks teams are based in the parks, trying to put a stop to poaching, supporting local communities and decrease their dependency on the forest. J.A.C.K. works at the other end of conservation. The Refuge Center facilitates wildlife confiscations by Congolese authorities.
