In this video I build a stand for a "new" anvil to use in my shop. And by new, I mean it was made sometime around the 1980s, and has never yet been used. But now that it has a stand, I'm going to change that! Tune in next time to see me polish it up, and round the edges to get it ready for forging. If you're reading this and have never heard of the blacksmith Terry Carson, look him up. If I'm remembering correctly, he was involved in the making of this anvil. He supported me a lot in my blacksmithing journey and I am sad that he has passed away now. He, as well as Daryl Nelson have a big part of the iconic ironwork at Timberline Lodge at Mt.Hood Oregon.
