A 7-part correspondence course created using funding from the Higher Education Act Title II-B , which provided funds that were to be utilized in providing training for librarians, library research, and demonstration projects. Training projects were created all over the United States during this time period, including this course, which was designed to help small community libraries in Alaska meet basic objectives and benchmarks for library and staff development.
