This video demonstrates updating the Operating System for a CR1000Xe datalogger. The procedure is similar for other CRBasic dataloggers such as the CR6.
We'll use File Control from the Connect screen. This method is suitable for a remote datalogger that is already deployed and could be on a telecommunications link, such as a cellular phone or an IP link. Also show how to determine if you have a 2M or 4M logger.
In Part 1 - we use the Send OS Tab in the Device Configuration Utility. This is a good method to reset the datalogger back to factory defaults. For this method you need to connect your computer to the datalogger directly, not over a telecommunications link.
