German Cemetery Lommel. A breathtaking place.

Some years back i went here and ever since i wanted to make a video about this cemetery. It is located south of Lommel and is about a 40 minute drive from Eindhoven. Located in the woods it is very quiet and peacefull nowadays. One of the people who worked here told us that it was actualy hard to find a location for the cemetery since no Belgian town wanted the Germans buried there and Lommel was concidered a bad area so they 'forced" the townpeople to agree with this burielsite. Today as you can see it is well maintained. Walking around here gives you an idea of how large the war must have been. This is the 6th German cemetery that i have vicited and the total of buried soldiers of all the cemetery's combined brings it to 111000 dead. I also visited 6 American cemetery's but the numbers combined are much lower. i hope you learned something from this video and i gave you a good idea of what it looks like and how big it is. Lest we forget.
