Kirby | Matt - A Baton Rouge Wedding Film at the Capitol Park Museum

Matt and Kirby's wedding was a particularly high-energy, exciting one that we can't wait to share with all of you today. I think the highlight for me is watching Matt's reaction when he sees Kirby come down the aisle. It's often my favorite part of footage, and in this case, you can really see his excitement wash across his face upon Kirby entering the church.

Coverage started at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center where both the bride and groom were able to relax and get ready with their friends before heading to First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge for the wedding ceremony. Much love to Brittany Devall & Season Garms for handling the make-up and hair, respectively, and knocking it out of the park.

From there it was a quick trip to the Capitol Park Museum for the wild and joyous reception. I can say that in almost ten years of doing this I've never seen the jump rope broken out on the dance floor before, and now I'm thinking it should be a regular thing.

Big shout out to a number of vendors who helped make this day something really special for the couple. In the sneak peek you'll have an opportunity to see some more beautiful work from Lance Hayes Flowers & The Ambrosia Bakery for nailing the floral arrangements and cake as they always do. Also want to call your attention to that gorgeous lighting from Abstract Productions LLC. that paired beautifully with the candles from Truly Haute. You'll also have the opportunity to glimpse Laura Welch Taylor: Art. do her thing in creating a truly unique painting for the couple and that killer ice sculpture from ice dragon ice sculptures. I also don't want to forget to show some love to Drakes Catering for their killer spread, the rentals from B&B Staff-Tenders, Inc. & B&B Event Rentals, Inc. for the rentals, and Lafayette Limo & Trolley & Riverside Limousines for their help in transporting the wedding party throughout the day.

Throughout the evening, Escalade Show And Dance Band and Phz-2 put on an amazing performance that kept the attendees moving on the dance floor.

Much thanks to Kate Butler Cook of KBCook Weddings for her coordination prowess and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. We also want to give some love to Collin Richie & crew for photographing alongside us and being the perfect balance of fun and professional to shoot with throughout coverage.

We love filming Baton Rouge weddings so it's always nice when we get to stay at home and capture someone's big day right here in town.
