Описание: Magnotta Blues Band started in East Lansing in 1971, playing throughout Mid Michigan but seldom traveling into the Detroit area to perform. This night was Paul Fata on harmonica, electric piano and vocals, John Magnotta on lead guitar, Stephen Magnotta on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jim Fedewa on bass and Parnell Boucha on drums and vocals.

Through 1976 the band also included the founder, Jim Magnotta, Mark Carlson, George Duli, Gary Silk, Willie Williams, Chris Throgmartin, Steve Conn, Bill Posten and Paul O'Jibway.

On Nov. 11, 1973 Magnotta Blues Band rolled onto the MSU campus and made this video, in glorious B&W now with roll flutter and slpit-second time-skips from several format conversions before digital.
We played to an empty room, actually the married housing office that was used Sunday nights by a club of video enthusiasts. The band had just played 2 nights at a bar until 2am and this was an awkward, low energy performance, playing to an empty room with the handful of people there ignoring us as they experimented with the video gear.

Before VHS or Beta, before cable TV and any public access studio or equipment, the MSU Video Workshop was a non-credit club for people interested in getting hands-on experience with the video tech available at that time. The club met Sunday nights in the MSU Married Housing office, pushed all the desks and tables there to one side and cleared enough space for whatever they could get to stand in front of their cameras as they experimented with the gear. It was played live through married housing and some dorms that had a "central antenna" but cable TV was still years away.

This is the 2nd half of the 1/2-inch open reel, B&W original video. It needs digital correcting, there are split-second "skips" that make the songs timing seem off and there is "wow & flutter" distortion throughout the video, which is now in this 4th generation copy.
