Skin lumps or lipomas are noncancerous swelling that occurs in any parts of your skin tissue. Lumps can be caused by many conditions such as infections, inflammation, injury, or trauma. Depending on these causes and conditions, lumps can be soft or firm, single or multiple lumps, pain could be severe or medium or painless. They may also grow rapidly in size or remain the same size.
Skin lumps usually appear between the ages of 40 and 60, but there can be exceptions and can appear in any age. Treatment and diagnosis of these skim lumps is important before it affect other health conditions.
