Weight and the saving of weight has always been at the heart of the Ariel Ethos – making savings on an already minimalist car usually means using exotic materials or clever engineering. In this case our new Titanium and Carbon exhaust system is a perfect example of using materials to shave some weight, saving nearly 50% over the standard exhaust system, weighing in at just 7.15kg.
Internal routing within the silencer and exits have changed too – with riveted on Carbon Fibre end caps, for ease of re-packing the internal wadding for our track-hungry customers. Combining a different internal structure with a weight saving material has also created a more subtle & deeper tone to the exhaust sound.
