By 1pm, it seems there is 1.5 to 2" of snow still on the panels, but some areas are starting to slide off. 1" of snow will reduce output ~30%, 2" will reduce by ~70%
I was able to get some useful information off the meter (you can see the green boxes in the distance). Some of the info didn't see right (on/off peak numbers), some wasn't really useful (KVARh), but did notice the kWh receive was matching up with my records. I calculated the whole system generation to be about 652,510 to the end of november, and as of Dec 22, 2024, total generated on the meter was 684,273, a difference of 31, 763. I'm not sure if the meter was at 0 when installed, or if there was some generated before the program offically started, but it seems there is some way to actually get a at the moment reading off the system. Granted, the meter is a little hard to read at an angle, but I was able to zoom in with my phone and get a few usable readings.
As for the snow covered day, I got 2 photos 5 seconds apart and showed 0.1 kWh difference. 2 days later with the panels 95% clear, I got 2 photos 27 seconds apart and showed 1.3 kwh difference.
December 21 was a cold dreary overcast day, and a quick buzz to the panels only showed about 10% clearance by mid afternoon, but by 1:45pm on the 22nd (cloudless sunny day, upper 20s), they were 95% clear.
The difference between 12/20 @ 3:52pm and 12/22 @ 1:45pm was 416 kwh. As a ballpark, I was guessing it was producing 175 kw. I may swing over later on the 23rd and see if I can get another reading.
