First I must say its great that Chiltern are introducing these ex TPE trains onto the service from London Marylebone during 2026, it will be so good to have loco hauled trains back on our rails again.
But when it comes to a quality ride on a long journey the MK 3s are so much better than the MK 5, and I will agree the MK 3s are looking very tired now so a refurb would be needed.
