==========================================
A mysterious, soft‑spoken lodger takes a room in a London household just as a series of brutal murders grips the city, and his odd habits and nocturnal wanderings soon raise the landlady’s suspicions. As fear spreads and tension builds, the family must confront the unsettling possibility that the quiet man upstairs may be connected to the terror stalking the streets, leading to a gripping psychological drama of doubt, dread, and dangerous assumptions.
BBC Radio has broadcast Marie Belloc Lowndes' The Lodger multiple times, most notably as part of their feature-length drama slots.
The most prominent BBC Radio 4 adaptation aired on October 25, 2003 (later repeated in 2005) as part of The Saturday Play.
