Tamil Nadu Poll Seat Sharing Leak: AIADMK 163, BJP 41 as NDA Formula Emerges Before 2026 Vote

Описание: India Today has obtained exclusive information on the proposed seat-sharing formula for the NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. According to the proposal, AIADMK is set to receive the largest share with 163 seats, followed by BJP with 41 seats. Other alliance partners include AMMK led by TTV Dinakaran, PMK led by Anbumani Ramadoss with 17 seats, and GK Vasan's party. AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, stating that seat-sharing details would be finalised within four days. Union Minister Piyush Goyal is also expected to visit Chennai. India Today has also accessed AIADMK's internal survey, which claims 64 percent anti-incumbency against the ruling DMK government and projects a victory margin of 135 to 146 seats for AIADMK. The survey suggests AIADMK is seen as the only alternative to the current government, with no significant impact from TVK in southern Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Kerala's Congress has finalised its candidate list for 95 seats as part of the UDF alliance.
