and when your born there you know everybody and you tend to stick around
churches and bars sit on every corner and families grow corn
we dont have much, but a couple of buck and some real mean leghorn
now lately these things have been goin away and left aside to rust
these older folks have been passing away and the young folks are tweakin on dust

these hills are plowed over surrounded by clover from the treeline to the knoll
and during the winter the sun sets just right on the south cliffs of nanticoke
this shickshinny boy wont ever leave her till the day that he croaks

if minding your own is something your in to come on out to cumberland
but them yellow tags that come through thinkin they own you with their five finger discount
well if ya live in a small town you probably have six rounds and you oughta make um count
