Unlike at a party, where DJ sets are prepared to stimulate the crowd or where the sound is adjusted to the club – at home, what you play is determined almost exclusively by your personal taste and current mood. DAVE TARRIDA
Grown up as a techno artist within the 90s UK scenery in line with Neil Landstrumm, Tobias Schmidt and Cristian Vogel, Dave Tarrida sounds just like one of those loud, sweaty, really dark underground clubs with too many strobes to see but just enough to keep your heart rate at a max. Most well known as one of the founding members of the legendary Sativae club in Edinburgh, he still retains this ravy, industrial feeling in his tracks and remains an ambassador of never ending electronic roughness – as a DJ as well as a producer.
His smashing tracks have been released on labels such as the famous Tresor, Outpost Recordings, and of course on the club-related label Sativae Recordings, which he co-runs with Steve Glencross, as well as on his more recent founded own label AUTOFAKE.
