The Thomo Heritage Park brings to life the iron smelting and other ancient traditions of the Tsonga People dating back for many hundreds of years. The Park is a must see attraction on Open Africa's Rixile Culture to Kruger Route.

The route has recently been adopted by money exchange group, Western Union, and has been injected with new impetus.
The site is easily accessible in the countryside, just eight kilometres outside the modern African lowveld town of Giyani, bordering on the Kruger National Park. The vicinity is littered with ancient iron age mining activities and smelters, some dating back to 550 AD.
Manager of Thomo Heritage Park, Richard Mabunda, showed video producer Charl Pauw around the site.
