Dran Clogg vlog #3:Lost rods and blocked drains.
I often get called out to drains with drain rods stuck inside. Usually the problems ate because of cheap materials, alloy ferrols rgat snap or rods becoming disengaged by being unscrewed whilst deep down the pipe.
In this instance the rod actuall snapped in half some 5 or 6 meters down the tube, strange as I never have seen a cane rod snap like that before.
These cane rods are antique and well past the sell by date, anyway I got them out ok using my modified rod retrieval tool. I also cleared the manhole at the bottom of the drive and got the drains back to working order.
Moral of the story, ' call your local drain company first and save yourself the headaches'
