This video covers the topic of anaesthetic. It is completely your choice when it comes to an areola reduction, you can opt for local anaesthetic, which means you probably can be fit enough to go home that day, although with someone else driving, or if you are squeamish and don't want to be aware of any of the surgery, then you can also have general anaesthetic. With a general anaesthetic the recovery time and hospital stay are slightly longer, but we always give the options to our patients as it is their body and comfort that matters to us.
