Subscribed me at:    / @worldwideadventuretravel   Troll Falls is a 3.4 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Kananaskis Improvement, Alberta, Canada that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and snowshoeing and is best used from March until November.

Where: Troll Falls Trail head, Troll Falls Trail and a portion of the Stoney Trail
Why: Surprise encounter with two black bears, where bear spray was deployed at close range.


Although an advisory is in place for this area, bears can be encountered anywhere in the Kananaskis Region at any time. To avoid a surprise encounter with a bear:

Make plenty of noise and travel in groups. Be aware of your surroundings. Look and listen for bears and their signs. Keep your pet on a leash.
Carry bear spray. Make sure it’s easily accessible, and know how to use bear spray. Please report all bear sightings immediately to 403-591-7755.
