The Supro brand is certainly a historic one, dating back to the 1930's and having produced some legendary equipment back in the day - most notably a small combo amplifier that Jimmy Page used on the early Led Zeppelin recordings. And after the brand fell quiet in the late '60s, it was revived in 2013 with a new line of guitars, amplifiers and pedals. The name was acquired by Bond Audio (also owners of Pigtronix and D'Angelico) in 2020, seeing the new line of products continue full steam ahead into this decade.

Today, I have their newly-facelifted all-analog Tremolo pedal to show you. This isn't a super-transparent effect to keep your clean signal intact though...oh no! This pedal models amplifier circuitry, and has an audio transformer in the circuit to help deliver some squish and harmonic fatness to things. This is a circuit that loves to gain up, giving you the feel and sonics of some of the classic small combo amps from the brand's heyday.

But in addition to that, you get two totally different modes of tremolo. The first is a more classic Amplitude trem, giving a volume chop ranging from subtle to the full on Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. At the flick of the switch though, you get a second mode: Harmonic Tremolo. Popularised in the old Fender Brownface amps, this mode modulates bass and treble frequencies independently of each other - giving an effect that's just as reminiscent of a Uni-Vibe as it is traditional tremolo.
