If you were hoping for a significant snow event in Charlotte, I'm sorry but it isn't happening. Snow totals have trended way down.
Saturday: A system will push a front through, but moisture is limited, so a lot of the rain will fade out before it even gets to Charlotte. While the mountains may see some accumulation, areas east of the mountains (including Charlotte) will mostly see cloud cover or light precipitation that struggles to reach the ground. Highs should return to near-normal values. Clouds clear late to mid-morning and the afternoon will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s. It will be breezy still, but at least it is a warm breeze.
Sunday Morning: There is a brief window early Sunday morning where snow could develop aloft as a system moves through. However, our snow chances are not great. The maximum we see is a trace to barely measurable snow. Snow chances will be highest Sunday morning into the first couple of hours of the afternoon. Some sunshine ends the day with highs only in the low 40s and wind chills in the 30s.
Impacts: Even if flakes fall, impacts are expected to be minimal because road temperatures remain relatively warm.
