Thredbo was the only place that had snow even during October this year (2025)
The drive was about 3.5 from Wagga Wagga.
If you’re coming from Sydney it’s about 5 hours drive.
But If you’re close to Melbourne check this place out it’s only 2 hours from Melbourne

at the time there wasn’t any entrance fee (this may vary from time to time) you only gotta pay for any equipment or rides.
we had a jollyful time playing in the snow building a snowman and taboganing. if you’re in Australia this winter give Thredbo a try.
Specially if you miss the snow season you could still check with them because Thredbo will have a longer season than most of the other resorts.
