Discovering Halych Town in Ukraine

Описание: Ukraine is a country rich with ancient artefacts and history. If you are willing to explore Ukraine in a non-touristic way, there are many places you could visit. One of them is Halych, a town located in Western part of Ukraine, in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The drive from Ivano-Frankivsk will take you about 30 minutes.
The history of Halych goes back to 12th century, when Halych-Volyn Kingdom existed. Halych is the place of birth and work of the one and only king Danylo. His monument can be found in the city centre of Halych.
While visiting Halych, you will find out that it was not the capital of the Halych-Volyn kingdom, while a small village Krylos was. It is located only 3km from Halych and I an visiting Krylos village in this vlog as well.
Also there is a rehabilitation centre for wild animals in Halych. You can find rare birds and wild animals rescued from mistreatment in zoos and circus.
