Man charged in connection to shooting threats at multiple CMS schools

Описание: A Charlotte man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening mass violence against four local schools, according to court documents WCNC Charlotte obtained Friday.

Drew Owens, 31, was arrested on Feb. 19, according to Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office records. He is accused of sending threatening emails to school administrators related to West Charlotte High School, Ardrey Kell High School, Community House Middle School and Hawk Ridge Elementary School.

Police got reports on Feb. 16 of an email sent from an anonymous account threatening violence at the schools. The sender specifically targeted West Charlotte High School, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department claimed.
