As someone with a background in psychology, I’ve seen firsthand how rigid rules around money can create stress and unhealthy behaviors. I truly believe that a slower, more balanced approach, one that still allows for small joys like eating out or shopping occasionally, leads to better long-term success. And this comes from someone who is actively on an aggressive debt payoff journey.

Maybe my mind will change back once I’m debt free, but for right now I’m realizing just how much mental toughness this journey requires.

I'm 32 years old and live in the Midwest. I'm married and we have 1 child together. I work full time as an analyst and then do YouTube and Etsy on the side. I started this channel because I want to help others learn how to budget, because budgeting changed my life. I started budgeting in 2024 when my husband and I noticed lifestyle creep in our lives. I'm currently tackling my student loans aggressively and then I'll move on to pay off my car, all while still building long-term wealth through intentional investing.
