Jacob Shields is an engineer at Jacks Transmissions where they specialize in building custom car parts, and specifically customizing Nissan GTRs and Mitsubishi Evos to make them fast. The garage uses their PCNC 1100 to make custom, one-off parts, as well as production runs for uniquely designed race car components.

Prototyping the custom parts usually starts out in aluminum to prove fitting and application. This allows the car shop to make the parts faster, and make sure it is created correctly before moving to a more durable component for the final part. Most of their customers benchmark off of a certain HP or speed for the quarter mile, and the parts that Jacks Transmissions make, can get them where they want to be.

Bringing in a cnc milling machine was a key aspect to the custom car parts being built. This allows faster turnaround, and making sure the precision is up to standard for the best performance on the market.
