Unboxing fertile eggs for my broody hen to hatch!

Описание: They are here!!! My fertilized eggs have made it, and now they are unboxed and under my Broody Girl! My hen has been broody so many times last year, and now she has been for weeks. With the itch to get more chickens for this year, and different colored eggs, I decided to order some special fertilized eggs for my hen to hatch! As mentioned, I ordered half a dozen of green spectrum mix eggs and received 9! Thank you to Leena May's Cottage Goods for selling these beauties and making the ordering process a breeze! The eggs that hatch and are pullets, will grow up to lay a variety of olive green eggs! It was hard to choose what colors I wanted to add to my egg collection, but I decided green for this time! I am nervous about this whole process because it is my first time hatching eggs. I am letting my hen do all the work instead of an incubator, so I truly just have to trust that nature knows best! My other concerns are it being so cold, but hopefully she doesn’t take too long of breaks to stretch and get her food and water before coming back to the clutch. I read that the hens will turn and rotate the eggs naturally to keep them evenly warmed, and it should take exactly 21 days from the start of the warming process. We are currently on day 3 from placing them under her. My toxic trait is making my workload more than it needs to be, but I known it will be worth it in the end and make me happy. Day 21 is going to be a week before I’m scheduled to give birth to a whole human baby lol. My second child! So soon our house will be filled with babies and lots of work, but I an so so excited!!
