08) Sahara Motel 1699 London Rd.
The earliest postcard I have for this place is 1959. The Sahara Motel and Restaurant on London Line was especially popular in the 1970's with both residents and tourists with 80 rooms and a lofty restaurant with a glassed-in front. The Sahara also boasted convention facilities for 500 people and four bowling lanes, four shuffleboard lanes, an indoor pool for year-round swimming, pony rides in summer and sleigh rides in winter.
The Sahara was demolished during the 1990's. Today the TSC Store occupies most of the old Saraha site.
09) Laurention Motel London Rd.
Opened sometime about the early 1956
10) Drawbridge Inn 283 N. Christina St
11) Chipican Motel 1150 N. Christina St
