Born just outside of Oakland, CA, he experienced a nomadic childhood, shaped by his role as a pastor's kid alongside his brother. Despite the challenges of constant movement, Palmer pursued education, emerging as a college graduate, a skilled musician, and a passionate podcaster.

However, life took an unexpected turn when he confronted mental health challenges while on the job. A series of temporary positions eventually led him to the unfamiliar territory of homelessness. Within the unhoused community, Palmer discovered a network of support that helped him navigate this difficult phase.

Although Palmer managed to re-enter the workforce, the absence of personal transportation proved a hindrance. Job loss followed, and he found himself facing homelessness once more. The struggle to regain stability became a relentless cycle, further exacerbated by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Palmer found himself oscillating between periods of couch-surfing and life on the streets of Seattle.

Palmer decided to share his unique perspective on homelessness through a podcast he aptly named "Home Free." Produced entirely by himself, the podcast serves as a platform to illuminate the challenges faced by the unhoused, offering a raw and authentic narrative of his own experiences.
