8th Pay Commission Dehradun meeting update: panel asked everyone to submit issues on the portal before 30 April 2026
In this video, I share the most important takeaway from the 8th Central Pay Commission’s first physical interaction with stakeholders in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 24 April 2026.
Many newspapers reported the meeting, but the biggest point for every central government employee, pensioner, and veteran is simple: the panel clearly said that every demand, anomaly, and suggestion must be submitted through the official Memorandum Submission portal on 8pc.gov.in.
Why? Because the Commission cannot meet everyone face to face. Only a limited number of organisations get a slot. If your specific issue is not written and submitted, it can get missed, even if similar topics were discussed in the meeting.
The Commission also reiterated that it will not accept physical memorandums, printed representations, emails, or hand delivered documents. Only the portal submission will be counted. Once you submit, you get a unique Memo ID, which is proof that your points have reached the Commission.
Key issues that were raised or referenced by veteran representatives include:
OROP anomalies and pension parity issues
MSP and bonus related demands
Disability pension and invalidment concerns
ECHS medical access and policy gaps
MACP and career progression fairness
Honorary rank benefits after retirement
Technical pay and promotion linked reductions
Premature retirement and hardship posting realities
Simple action steps:
1. Visit 8pc.gov.in
2. Open Memorandum Submission
3. Select your category and submit your points before 30 April 2026
4. Save your Memo ID for future follow up
5. Help senior veterans in villages who are not comfortable with technology

What you can submit on the portal:
Minimum pay and fitment factor expectations

Retirement benefits (pension revision, gratuity, commutation, leave encashment)
Cadre issues (promotion timelines, pay level parity, anomalies between old and new retirees)
Department specific pain points for Railways, Defence, CAPF, Postal, Income Tax and other ministries
Tip: keep your submission short, factual, and solution focused. Mention the problem, the impact, and what change you want. If your association already submitted a memorandum, you can still submit your personal case to ensure your specific anomaly is captured in the data analysis.
Share this video with one colleague or one veteran today, especially seniors who may not be able to submit online on their own.
This video is for public awareness. Always verify portal notices and submit within the deadline. Keep screenshots of submission and your Memo ID for record.
