Not my usual backpacking trail video, but decided on a last minute video right before we left for the hike.
This is a 5.5 mile round trip hike with 2600 feet of elevation gain on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Any hike up the mountain requires a local guide. Most hikers start at a trailhead accessible by road 600 feet up as an excursion from a resort. We hired a private water taxi to take us to a less traveled portion of trail in order to hike it from sea to summit! Beautiful and tough hike, and an amazing experience. Enjoy!
