First trout of 2026: Brown trout on Panther Martins

Описание: The weather kept me out of the game most of January and It took two trips before I made it happen, but finally the first trout of 2026 is on the board. The morning started slow, but as the temperature approached 30 degrees the brown trout started to heat up as well. All fish were caught on a panther martin running as slow as I could reel it and still keep the blades spinning. The highlights of the trip were that first little brown that stepped up and got me in the game. The other was a beautiful 17 inch brown caught just before I had to head out.
