As we get into the summer months, extreme heat becomes an issue when running or doing any outdoor activities. At times, extreme temperatures can be dangerous to your health. Many gravitate indoors to the gym, run on the treadmill, or work on strength. But, for those that do not have a gym membership or a home treadmill, we have a great indoor workout with no equipment needed. Stay safe on those hot days by doing this High-Intensity workout in the safety of your own “cool” home environment.
When doing any workout, start with a 5-10 minute dynamic warm-up to increase blood flow to muscles and increase the heart rate.
Perform each exercise for 30 to 60 seconds, depending on your current physical condition. Take adequate rest/recovery between exercises (15-30 seconds). Go through this routine 2-3 times. If you want to make this workout more challenging, Make the rest/recovery and active recovery by making an easy jog between each exercise.
