The long, scorching heatwave and autumn drought are finally coming to an end with the news of much-needed rain. There have been times before when the rain forecast disappointed us by not reaching the garden, but this time, it seems the rain is really coming, and we are so happy. If the drought had continued for just a little longer, we would have had to give up on our autumn garden or haul water from far away. Now, we can finally plant the vegetables we've been putting off. We just hope that the long-awaited rain will be just enough and not too much.
