Описание: Narrative Medicine is an approach in healthcare that emphasizes the importance of understanding and engaging with each patient’s unique story. “In Our Own Words” was a 4-week virtual workshop series at BIDMC for people with Parkinson’s focused on the development of 55-word stories that represent what matters most in one's medical journey. Workshops were led by Dr. Sneha Mantri, a movement disorders neurologist from Duke University with advanced training in narrative medicine, and BIDMC's Lissa Kapust, LICSW. This program was supported by a Parkinson's Foundation Community Grant.
