Metal is inherently reflective, so variations in light and view angle combine with the surface texture to create a dynamic synergy and visual effects impossible to achieve with other media.

Quality photographs allow you to see the composition and get an idea of color and, to some degree, texture, but being static, they can only tease the full effect.
Video brings you one step closer, revealing the ever-changing character as the camera moves across the surface. I recently filmed the heat-colored steel pieces in the Dean Gallery, along with a couple of bronze reliefs.
