Pole Transformer Explosion St Petersburg FL

Описание: An electrical transformer mounted to a power pole in my back yard in St. Petersburg exploded into flames at 4:48 this morning (4/4/2017), spraying flames of oil to the pole, the grass, the fence, a vinyl shed and a lawn mower. All were damaged in addition to nearby trees. Fire crews responded within 10 minutes and no one was hurt. Duke energy environmental cleaning crews are on scene currently and they are removing transformer oil from the swimming pool, pool deck, patio furniture, as well as removing oil soaked soil from the area and surrounding neighbors’ yards. The power outage affected 16 homes and was restored by 12:30 PM.
