To find the square root of a perfect square by using the long division method is easy when the numbers are very large since, the method of finding their square roots by factorization becomes lengthy and difficult. Also, to find the square roots of imperfect squares such as 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, etc. and decimal numbers, we can use long division method avoiding the use of calculators.
