QuickBooks Online allows you to attach supporting documentation directly to transactions, and it is one of the most underrated system-building tools inside the software.
In this video, I walk through how to attach PDFs, images, and spreadsheets to:
• Bills
• Invoices and sales receipts
• Journal entries
• Bank feed transactions
• Reconciliations
You will also see how attachments follow transactions into the register and how to enable the attachments column inside the bank feed for quick visibility.
This feature is especially useful when documenting large purchases, supporting journal entries, reducing CPA follow up questions, or preparing for audit. Instead of storing documentation in disconnected folders, you can keep everything tied directly to the transaction it supports.
