My name is Michelle and I had a stroke 12+ years ago. Fitness and exercise became my therapy both physically and mentally after my stroke. I had my stroke after a car accident and due to other injuries had no therapy interventions until 6+ months when I learned to walk and at 11 months when I finally saw an OT. Strength training on my own is when I finally saw some improvements in my hand and arm. So, this is when my love of exercise began and I decided to become a personal trainer so I could learn more about body mechanics and help myself as well as other stroke survivors. I now also have a certification for exercise therapy and as a nutritionist. Currently I am finishing up a certification for corrective therapeutic exercises.
