My Visit to The Greatest Gathering - Derby Litchurch Lane - 01/08/2025

On Friday 1st August 2025, I attended The Greatest Gathering Rail 200 Event being held at Derbys Alstom Litchurch Lane site.
It was a very busy day with lots of different locomotives and multiple units on display.
I wasn't able to get round to see every exhibit there due to there being so much going on and with it being incredibly busy, but I am still very happy with what I got.
I was able to get into a few cabs, including Class 43 powercar 43159 'Rio Warrior', LMS Mogul 13268, the BR Class 507 PEP and the Pride Pendolino.
It was great to also see some of my favourite steam locomotives there as well, such as 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley', 60532 'Blue Peter' 45596 'Bahamas' and one that I was really happy to see was 35028 'Clan Line'.
A few other things I was happy to see included the BR Blue 455, the Regional Railways Class 323, the BR Blue 313, and the Red White and Blue Class 465.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable day, and I am very happy that I was able to attend this unforgettable event.
